“I can’t believe I ate the whole thing!”
Remember the excuse we used to use in school…“The dog ate my Homework?” Well with Fenway it could be true!

If your dog is a chewer don’t be too hard on them it could just be that they are having a stressful day. Pups usually chew because they are “teething”, while older dogs chew to relieve tension or anxiety.
If you have this problem with your dog like Hannah did, don’t call Dr. Phil, call Coach White! Hannah Luca was looking for a friend. She could have gone online to an internet dating site but instead chose a dog rescue website and found Fenway. Hannah & Fenway immediately fell in love but she quickly found out what the price of love would cost her…Fenway was a chewer! He chewed everything he could get his teeth on and the damage kept increasing while Hannah’s bank account kept decreasing.
Shortly after Fenway joined the household Hannah got a roommate who worked out of the house on her computer. Her computer was her life…her computer was her livelihood…and yes you guessed it, her computer was Fenway’s next meal! After chewing up nearly $200 worth of computer cables, Hannah and her roommate decided to call Coach White.
Coach White knew exactly what to do. He signed Fenway up for a 30 day “Boot Camp” and gave him the “structure” he needed to start chewing steak bones instead of telephones. Fenway returned to Hannah a new dog thanks to Coach White. He keeps his chewing to his toys and bones and Hannah’s bank account is getting better every day…she’s saving for a new leather couch!
HERE’S THE POOP
Dogs like Fenway chew household items for a reason. Dogs, like humans get anxious which creates tension, and the way to relieve tension is to “chew”. There are a few tips to help relieve your dog’s tension…
- Don’t make your departures emotional. When you leave just say “Good-bye, see ya later”. The greater fuss you make the more anxiety you create.
- Don’t isolate your dog for chewing. This will only create more tension for the dog.
- Don’t physically punish the dog for chewing. He is chewing to relieve the tension and this will only create more.
- Exercise…exercise…exercise! This works the same way for dogs as it does for humans.
