TOP RESCUE CAT: BABY and FELICIA

"I am not a cat person." Sound familiar? That's what I used to say, until I found Baby, or should I say she found me. One day while minding my own business, my boyfriend came into my house with a furry friend. She was a beautiful solid gray cat with piercing green eyes. I told him she was lovely, but I don't want a cat. In addition to not wanting a cat, I thought this one was psycho. Every time I took a step, she attacked my ankles.
Of course, I couldn't let her starve, so I fed her and she went on her way back to the empty field adjacent to my house, where I guess she lived. On her next visit, I immediately took her to the vet for shots, checkup, etc. During the day, she was no where to be found, but every evening as I drove my car down the driveway to my garage, she magically appeared to greet me. She stayed with me all night, and when I went to work, she scooted off.
The big change came a few months later when I decide to move into an apartment. There was no way I would leave her, so she became an apartment kitty. She would sunbathe on the balcony, and we would go for walks together throughout the complex. She talked to me day and night and became my best friend. My boyfriend went on his way, but Baby lived with me for 16 years. She moved with me 6 times, once halfway across the country. She flew in the cabin of the plane with me, stayed in hotels, and drove in rental cars. After 12 years, she welcomed (sort of) a pound puppy into her house, and another stray cat. She was a mom to them all.
I am now on my way to becoming the crazy cat lady of the neighborhood and feed all of the feral cats. Baby completely changed me. I am now a cat person.
